While Taraori Basmati HBC-19 is created in 1996. Name of this rice variety is on the name of a small city having Asia’s largest grain market. In 1970, Taraori is the first market where trading and export of Basmati variety was initiated by some Gujarati Business Tycoon.

Seed & Agricultural Details: It’s seed to seed maturity of only 160 days and average yield of 1.9 Metric Tonne per hectare. HBC-19 is a semi-dwarf Basmati rice variety with short structure and weak stem; owing to its slow maturity, cultivation of HBC-19 can help saving up to 2-3 irrigation leads to 15% saving of irrigation water.
